Empire under Seige
Taking it’s name from the Stir river that forms it’s northern border with Talabecland, Stirland is a poor, rural province in the southern reaches of The Empire. Due to its rustic customs the people of the province are the target of snide comments from foreigners. Provincial colors are green and yellow, but are only worn in a token fashion by members of local regiments.
Notable amongst the local militia and regiments is the Stir River Patrol. This force serves as a police force on the river Stir. The Stir is a well plied trade route, and as such is a target for banditry and other ne’er-do-wells. Because of the danger the Stir River Patrol attempts to ensure the safety of the watery highway, with mixed results. While the river is mostly safe, the patrol cannot be everywhere at once.
